Hello all. Welcome to Shinzart.com’s blog page, and my first blog entry for the site. It’s Wednesday Oct 8th. First of all I have to give thanks to Murbar for all his help with this site, couldnt’ve done it without you, probably literally. Really excited to be back in classes and all. Not that any of you should care, but I’m only taking classes for two days of the week this quarter. So what will I be doing with all of my free time you may ask? Well luckily we’ve just opened up “The Cage” here at the Art Institute of Charleston. The Cage is the place where students and faculty come to have their projects posters and whatnots printed for the school (for a nominal fee of course). I’ll be working there, while simultaneously attending school full time and working my other job as a server full time as well. I know what you’re thinking, “what can’t he do?” Haha, on another exciting note, I finally received my Business cards in the mail, after a series of hassles with the United Postal Service because I was out of town for several days visiting the family. How did that go? Glad you asked. Got to hang out with all of my awesome friends back in The Burg, all except Ryan who unfortunately is no longer with us… he belongs to the soulless masses that are the population of our great states capital Columbia. Where he’s attending USC, go cocks! (as if…) Anyway back to the business cards, I’ll be plotting them around town within’ the next week or so which may open up new opportunities and benefits in the months to come. So I’m keeping my fingers crossed. On the matter of the gallery page for the site, that’s still not up and running. Looking for the best way to go about presenting my work. I know what you’re thinking “OMG, what kind of graphic designer has no work on his site?”, well to you I say, don’t get your panties in a bunch, it’s coming. For now you can still take a visit to my sister site myspace.com/master_shinzou, the unofficial and temporary portfolio page. You do have a myspace don’t you? Well to you I say “OMG, it’s the 21st century, get with the program it’s called a social networking site already.” It’s a crutch for those among us that can’t seem to grasp the inner workings of creating an actual website. But I digress. Might have a new project coming up as an illustrator of a children’s book about the life of a loggerhead turtle, it’ll be good pay and a way to really go mainstream with my work. And I just did a poster for our school which is having a name contest for our new culinary restaurant which is opening up soon. These are exciting times. Let’s see how it all pans out shall we?
